INCLUDES: PART # TOY-RDB-001 - Toyota Rear Disk Brake Brackets, Constructed from 3/8 inch steel. These brackets use 79-85 Monte Carlo or Cadilac Eldorado calipers, front or rear depending on if you need the e-brake or not.
(There is a small knob on some calipers that will interfere with the bracket, grinding it will not affect the calipers performance.) OPTIONAL ITEMS: PART # TOY-RDR-001 Modified 88-97 Chevy IFS 4x4 light duty 6 lug rotors. These rotors have been machined to fit the rear axle hub centric. PART # TOY-RBL-001 Chevy caliper braided brake lines. The brake lines arefull length braided lines to the Toyota factory T fitting. PART # TOY-DBC-001 79-'85 Monte Carlo Caliper for the Toyota Disc Brake Conversion. (Non E-Brake) These brackets use common Chevy car calipers. Years of the calipers are 79-85 Monte Carlo or Cadillac Eldorado, front or rear depending on if you need the e-brake or not. There is a small knob on some calipers that will interfere with the bracket, grinding is ok. E-brake style calipers are about $300pr. We do not supply E-brake calipers. We supply a modified Chevy rotor if needed. The braided brake lines needed to connect the Toyota to Chevy caliper are full length braided lines to the Toyota factory offset T fitting, 79-95 trucks and 4 runners. Brackets will fit standard pattern Toyota axles, 1979-2004, some 2005-2006 axles, customer will need to double check there pattern with an older axle. Grinding of ABS ports may be needed if equipped. Note on installing kit on ABS equipped vehicle: put the Left Caliper on the Right and the Right on the Left. This is due to the ABS and keeping the bleeder above the hose fitting Note: Kit will fit 15 inch wheels with 3.5 or less backspace. |
