Sky Manufacturing is the only company to mass-produce a 1" and 2" body lift kit for the Samurai and 2" Sidekick Kit. Includes blocks CNC machined from black UHMW, longer metric bolts, custom-built stud connectors, and instructions. Installs in approximately 2 hours, gives necessary motor clearance or larger tire clearance. Suzuki Sidekick body lift instructions Parts included, 10 body blocks, 2 bolts, 6 studs, 2 lock/flat washers. Sidekick body lifts are available in both 1 &2 inch versions instructions are identical. Do to vehicle options some variations will exist check all gas lines engine wires brake lines etc. This kit is intended for early 2 and 4 door vehicles w/o rack and pinion steering. Sidekicks have 10 mount positions 2 are bolts under the headlights 6 are studs under the front fender/door at the rear most door area and at the rear hatch there are two positions that require the blocks to be glued in or held is a similar fashion these blocks act a support for the body and are not firmly secured these are located between the 2nd and 3rd body mount from the front of the vehicle. We recommend using black rtv silicone to secure these blocks. First step is remove stock fasteners , side by side is recommended placing blocks on one side before lifting the other. Steering should by checked through out the lift it may be necessary to loosen the steering shaft at the firewall and steering box junction rear gas hose will need to be repositioned on the tank and filler slide approximately 1/ 2 inch per side to allow enough room for hose to flex When one side has been lifted and secured lower side and repeat on other aside be sure to retighten all hoses lines cables and steering before moving vehicle This kit is intended for show vehicles only not for use on vehicles driven on public or private property. The purpose of this kit is to lift the body from its frame to permit the installation of larger tires. Modification of body to frame attachment installation of larger tires or any modification to a stock vehicle are likely to cause changes sometimes severe in handling characteristics and its structural integrity .
