Three-Stage Charging
The battery gets charged in three computer-controlled stages: Stage one is constant current raising the battery to a specific voltage per cell. Stage two is constant voltage & declining current, stabilizing the cells at the given voltage over a given period of time. Stage three is called Float charging and this drops the voltage to a level that can maintain the battery indefinitely, all week or all winter. |
Three Amperage Levels
You choose the charging level. High rates are great for the track and lower rates are better for the battery when you are back at the shop. |
12V and 16V peration
Allows for one charger to cover two batteries. |
Charge Rate Meter
The Powermaster charger has status lights that show errors in the battery, active charging, and float charging modes. In addition, the charge rate can be monitored on the built in ammeter. |
AGM Compatible
Two charging modes making it compatible with all lead acid batteries including flooded, maintenance free, deep cycle, gel, and AGM designs. |
Microprocessor Control with Automatic Shutdown-Smart Charger
The custom circuit board inside has a microprocessor that controls the constant current/constant voltage features. The microprocessor analyzes the battery when connected, and if voltage is below 4V or does not charge to the correct voltage in a ten-hour period the charger will shut-off. |
Built in Cooling Fan and Aluminum Heat Sinks
The internal cooling fan is quiet and turns on any time the switch is on. This coupled with a huge aluminum heat sink inside make for a very cool running charger even at high output, ensuring long lasting durability. |
Heavy Duty Battery Clamps and Cables
The clamps are specially designed and manufactured for Powermaster to easily clamp on the external battery studs of race vehicles, and directly to the battery. The six-foot UL approved color-coded battery cables feature extra thick jackets that are resistant to cuts and abrasion. |
